I want to know the process of making coffee beans into instant coffee.

Thank you!

Instant coffee, also called soluble coffee and coffee powder, is a beverage derived from brewed coffee beans. Instant coffee is commercially prepared by either freeze-drying or spray drying, after which it can be rehydrated. At least one brand of instant coffee is also available in concentrated liquid form.
Advantages of instant coffee include speed of preparation (instant coffee dissolves instantly in hot water), lower shipping weight and volume than beans or ground coffee (to prepare the same amount of beverage), and long shelf life—though instant coffee can also spoil if not kept dry.

It says your supposed to put one rounded teaspoon of the instant coffee in one 6 oz serving. So does anyone know how much Caffeine that is?

Hi Chelsea Smile!

Here are the numbers for Folger’s, and I’ve included the numbers of Folger’s other coffees in case you’d like to compare them.

For Folgers Ground Coffee: Caffeine content can vary by blend (dark roasted coffees contain less caffeine than lighter roasted coffees), so here’s the scoop: Serving size equals 1 tablespoon ground coffee to 6 oz of water.

Milligrams of Caffeine per Serving:
Regular: 59 mg per tablespoon (one serving)
Half-Caff: 30 mg per tablespoon (one serving)
Decaffeinated: 1.5 mg per tablespoon (one serving)

Folgers Coffee Singles: One serving equals one coffee single for each 6-ounce cup of water. The caffeine-per-cup may vary according to how long it is brewed:
Milligrams of Caffeine per Serving:
Regular: 116.7 mg/single
Decaffeinated: 2.8 mg. per single

Folgers Instant Crystals: One serving size equals one teaspoon instant coffee for each 6-ounce cup of water.
Milligrams of Caffeine per Serving:
Regular: 74 mg. per teaspoon (one serving)
Decaffeinated: 1.9 mg per teaspoon (one serving)

Have a good day!

I have been drinking instant Yuban coffee for many years. I just started drinking brewed Yuban and I would like to know which is stronger.

The strength of the coffee would vary based on how much you use (of either the ground or instant variety). One is not stronger or weaker than the other in any absolute sense, only in a comparative one. The instant coffee is stronger is you use more of it, and weaker if you use less of it.

Like you get in starbucks only i want to know if you can make it with instant coffee and milk and all that. any ideas?

Make coffee in the normal way with hot water. Let it cool and put it in a jug/container. Put in fridge. When chilled, pour into your ice filled glasses……
