This is a great dessert to have in your repertoire. It’s low in fat, takes very little time to make and it always comes out well.

1 unsweetened applesauce
2 1/2 C. granulated sugar, divided use (you can even use 1/2 Splenda and Sugar for less calories)
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 C. liquid egg substitute
3 C. unbleached all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 C. fat-free dairy sour cream

1/2 C. chopped walnuts, toasted
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10-inch tube pan. In large mixing bowl, combine fat replacement and 2 C. sugar; beat until fluffy. Stir in vanilla. Add liquid egg substitute, 1/4 C. at a time, beating after each addition. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add alternately with sour cream to other mixture, beating enough after each addition to keep batter smooth. Spoon 1/3 batter into prepared pan.
In a bowl, combine cinnamon, nuts and remaining sugar. Sprinkle 1/3 of the mixture on batter in pan. Repeat layers of batter and cinnamon mixture 2 more times. Bake in heated oven 1 hour 10 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack 10 minutes. I’m about to embark on a new healthy living regime, eating fresh healthy foods, with visits to the gym 4-5 times a week.
I know my downfall is going to be my "first thing in the morning" hot beverage!
I usually like to start the day off with a hot cup of decaffeinated coffee, but coffee will soon be off the agenda.
It’s important to understand that part of the appeal of the coffee first thing in the morning is that it’s warm and comforting - especially on these cold winter mornings.
Can anyone suggest a suitable healthy alternative?
fresh orange
all the hotels can not be wrong?
What’s a good healthy alternative to coffee?

appreciate any suggestions
Herbal teas are good and there is a huge range.
Or you can make delicious teas from dried fruit peels such as orange, lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit and/or apple etc.
Carob is also a good hot drink that is easy to make.
Have you ever tried mint tea? It is very refreshing, particularly in hot weather. Pick the mint, wash it, and put it is a tall glass with sugar to taste, if you are so inclined. Pour on boiling water. Some people make it adding a tea bag or a teaspoon of black or green tea.
Don’t reject coffee completely. There is new evidence that coffee is NOT so bad for you as once thought.
What can coffee do to affect 2 healthy Kidneys?
Posted by: | CommentsMy mom is geerally trying to make up all this stuff that coffee will stunt my growth despite the fact that i have drunk lots of coffee and i am 5 foot 10, i am 13, but can coffee do anything to my kidneys, which are in full health?
If your kidneys are working good, you have nothing to worry about. Healthy kidneys well filter just about anything you put in your mouth. I have failing kidneys, the doc’s tell me to limit my coffee intake to a cup a day. As bad as my kidneys are and I can still have a cup a day, you have nothing to worry about! Happy drinking!
Whats a healthy treat to have with coffee when I get to work?
Posted by: | CommentsFor the office we usually have bescottis.
how about a whole wheat english muffin if you have a toaster oven there? If you put a little cheese on it (protein) it will make you feel fluller longer and you’ll have whole grain too, which is good fiber.
