So im making a chocolate coffee cake, and in the icing it asks you to mix 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder in with 2 tablespoons hot tap water to dissolve, and then add into the frosting. I just realized i dont own instant coffee powder, so i was wondering if anyone knew of a way i could do this with regular brew coffee that will taste the same??

You could substitute brewed coffee for whatever liquid the recipe calls for, but the coffee should be strong,because the flavour won’t be as intense otherwise
