What’s a good healthy alternative to coffee?
ByI am looking for a HOT beverage alternative to coffee, that is natural and healthy - and preferably easy to make.
appreciate any suggestions
Herbal teas are good and there is a huge range.
Or you can make delicious teas from dried fruit peels such as orange, lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit and/or apple etc.
Carob is also a good hot drink that is easy to make.
Have you ever tried mint tea? It is very refreshing, particularly in hot weather. Pick the mint, wash it, and put it is a tall glass with sugar to taste, if you are so inclined. Pour on boiling water. Some people make it adding a tea bag or a teaspoon of black or green tea.
Don’t reject coffee completely. There is new evidence that coffee is NOT so bad for you as once thought.

If you are trying to ditch the caffeine, just go decaf, coffee is full of antioxidants and isn’t the big bad guy people make it out to be, tho, caffeine is a problem, coffee is thought to have many benefits too.
If you just DO want to ditch the coffee, for coffee’s sake, a few I know that don’t taste like weak fruit juice gone wrong are….
Redbush tea - exellent antioxidant, no caffeine or tanin
Peppermint tea - numerous health benefits and really lifts you mood
Camaile tea - you can actually use the bags on your eyes and in your bath, this tea is better with honey if you have a sweet tooth, sugar is too over powering in the wrong way for this brew.
You can add milk to all the above to, which for me is a must!

Tea. It’s a hot beverage with caffeine, but the caffeine makes you awake and alert, instead of the jittery caffeine in coffee
